The given table and pie charts reveal the sources which the police budget came from and how that money was used for different purposes in the two years 2017 and 2018 in a British area.
Overall, it can be seen that in both 2017 and 2018, the police budget mainly stemmed from the national government, then local taxes, then other sources. In addition, that money was used most to pay for labor, followed by the buildings-transport and then technological purposes.
Looking at the table, in 2017, the ratio of police budget which was contributed by the government took up the largest part, at 175.5m, the second rank was local taxes with 91.2m and the final place was other sources with 38m. A similar outcome was seen in 2018 with slight increases in all three categories, to 177.8m, 102.3m, and 38.5 m, respectively.
In terms of budget allocation, the technology industry was the least financed section, accounting for only 8% in 2017, (6% lower than that of the next year), followed by the buildings-transport with 17% (remained unchanged in 2018). The proportion of money used to pay salaries was the highest, at 75% in 2017 and 69% in 2018.
