The graph below shows the percentage of female members of parliament in 5 European countries from 2000 to 2012.
The graph illustrates the proportion of five European country's female parliament members between 2000 and 2012.
Overall, it is clear that the percentage of parliament members had been increased gradually in all the five countries throughout the period.
With regards to UK and Belgium, the proportion initiating at about 3% and 16% in the year 2000 and increasing about 5% more in the year 2004 respectively. Uk showed increasing trend till the year 2012 at just below 25%. While, Belgium remained constant till the end of the time period and coincides with the percentage of parliament members at above 20% with the UK.
On focusing the percentum of female members in parliament of France, it had been increased significantly from 25% to approximately 35%. On the other hand, the percentage of Italy's parliament female members began at about 27% then peaked at above 30%, before increasing gradually at about 40% till 2012. In Germany the percentage has increased only approximately 3% in 12 years.
