In 1981, The proportion of no-car households was 40%, compared to 1-car households at around 42% while households with more than 2 cars saw a slightly higher proportion in 1971, accounting for around 35%.
In 1991, No-car households made up around 35% of all types of households, whereas that figure for 1-car households was higher, at approximately 40%.
