The process graph depicts the common cyclical procedure of how to get plastic bottles recycled. Generally, there are nine steps involved.
Firstly, after the end of life of the plastic products, households should sort them out and put them in special recycling bins, where the garbage trucks for recycling goods would come and collect them. The trucks would then load the garbage to recycling centers for sorting to select the suitable materials to be processed in the next stage. In the fourth and fifth part of the procedure, the ideal bottles would be compressed in to blocks before crushing them. The crushed fragments are then cleaned and washed in a water tank.
After going through the first five stages, the plastic materials are ready to be used for reproduction. The crushed plastic would be poured into a machine to produce plastic pellets which would be heated in high temperature to form raw materials. The raw materials are eventually packed and transported to factories which finalizes the recycling procedure by manufacturing plastic products to be purchased and used by households. This would also be the start of a new cycle for the plastic commodities.
