The graph below shows the amounts of waste produced by three companies over a period of 15 years.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The line chart illustrates how much waste was generated by three organizations from 2000 to 2015.
It is evident that apart from Company C, the other two companies witnessed a minor fluctuation in waste production in 2015, with an overall downward trend observed across all the companies. Additionally, Company C experienced the most significant increase in waste production compared to the other companies.
In 2000, Company A had the highest amount of waste produced among the three organizations, reporting just 12 tons. However, this figure gradually declined to reach a value of 9 tons in 2010. Subsequently, over the next five years, Company A made further slight reductions in its waste output and concluded at a final quantity of 8 tons in 2015. Meanwhile, Company B commenced with a waste production level below 9 tons in 2000. Therefore, it saw a slight increase to around 10 tons by 2005. Moreover, there was a substantial drop in waste production for Company B as it reached an impressive low of only 3 tons by the end of the period.
In contrast to Companies A and B, which generally diminished their waste generation levels during this time frame, Company C displayed an upward trajectory. At the beginning of the period under analysis, this company produced approximately 4 tons of waste, which rose steadily to about 6 tons by 2005. Importantly, it should be noted that after this point, an exponential increase occurred in Company C's waste production; it went on to surpass even its counterparts' levels and hit just above 9 tons by the conclusion of the presented data set.
