Some people believe that the best way to produce a happier society is to ensure that there are only small differences between the richest and the poorest members. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In our modern world, the gap between the rich and the poor is widening, leading to a significant disparity in society. Some individuals argue that to achieve contentment for all families, it is imperative to eliminate this class divide. I completely agree with this notion as reducing the gap between the wealthiest and the poorest can create equal opportunities for everyone and foster harmony within the community.
Firstly, individuals living below the poverty line often face unemployment and illiteracy. However, this issue can be easily resolved if economic inequality is eliminated. In impoverished countries like those in Africa, the unemployment rate is alarmingly high, while the elite enjoy a life of luxury. This socioeconomic gap not only hampers the growth of these nations but also affects the global community as a whole. By narrowing the differences, individuals will have access to equal opportunities and resources, which are considered their basic rights.
Secondly, developed nations have disregarded the importance of reducing this gap, which is a major contributor to their growth. In countries like the United States, individuals from all social backgrounds engage in various jobs throughout their lives, earning according to their abilities. However, society treats everyone with equal respect, irrespective of their profession. Consequently, our planet can become a happier place to live, and individuals can lead better lives. If societies embrace inclusivity, every individual will be given a chance to excel.
In conclusion, it is argued by some that eliminating economic differences is essential for fostering happiness. I firmly believe that treating everyone fairly is of utmost importance for us to grow and progress together. By bridging the gap between classes, we can create a society that provides equal opportunities to all and promotes harmony among its members.
