The line chart below shows the production levels of main fuels in a European country from 1981 to 2000.
The line chart illustrates how a European nation manufacture three different main fuels between 1981 and 2000.
Overall, there was an increase in the the production levels of petroleum and natural gas, with the most dramatic rise being seen in the latter. In contrast, the production of coal experienced a decrease over the given timeframe.
Looking at the chart in more detail, in 181, natural gas was the smallest fuel being produced, with negligible figures of 40 tonnes. Thereafter, natural gas maintained a marginal presence in production, at just 40 tonnes until 1995, after which its production increased, reaching a peak of over 80 tonnes in 2000. Meanwhile, petroleum was the leading fuel in production, twice the figure for natural gas in 1981. In the following years, the figure for petroleum underwent a significant fluctuation, and finally reached at 120 tonnes in 2000.
With regard to the remaining fuel, in 1981, 80 tonnes of coal were manufactured, the figure for coal boomed out at around 50 tonnes in 1985 before a modest recovery to around 70 tonnes in the following years. Finally, the production levels of coal sharply decreased to under 40 tonnes by the end of the period.
