The given line chart depicts the numbers of partakers in distinctive activities at one social centre located in Melbourne of Australia in the period of 20 years from 2000 to 2020.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the participants for all activities increased to varying degrees except in terms of martial arts and amateur dramatics. It is also noticeable that film club was the most prevalent activities for all participants in Australia throughout 20 years and other activities also grown significantly.
Regarding the number of people involved in film club, it began at roughly 65 in 2000, then declined to 60 after a decade which rebounded to 60 in 2015 and reached a peak at approximately 68 in the final year. Turning to martial arts, there are about 37 people engaged in this activity in 2000 and from 2005 onward, it observed a fluctuation from approximately 33 to 37 and finally the figure was accounted for around 37, which is identical to the figure in the first year.
The remaining activities started the period lower with 27 participants for amateur drama, 18 for table tennis, and 0 for musical performances. Over the next 10 years, amateur dramatics witnessed a dramatical decline that would just end at about 5 in 2020. Meanwhile, table tennis and musical performance witnessed an upward trend and the figure for table tennis was double musical performance after a decade with the figure being recorded at 20 and 10 correspondingly. From 2010 onward, the number of participants of table tennis soared sharply and finally ended at about 52, which was higher than the figure of musical performance by 40 in 2020.
