Essay topics:

The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given line graph illustrates variations in the numbers of people participating for five distinct activities at one particular social center in Melbourne and Australia from 2000 to 2020.

It is noticeable that film clubs attracted the most participants over this period, while the numbers of participants of these five activities showed a different pattern.

As is shown in the chart, despite some fluctuations, the populirities of film clubs and martial arts remained almost the same as their beginning figures, at approximately 63 and 37, respectively. It's obvious that the number of people who chose a film club was by far the largest among these activities.

We can also see that the figure for table tennis increased dramatically from about 16 in 2000 to roughly 55 in 2000, particularly in the last decade. Similarly, musical performances surge from none in 2005 to just below 20 in 2000, while slowed down in the last five years.

By contrast, amateur dramatics was the only activity that received a decreasing popularity, rising moderately from around 25 in 2000 to a peak of nearly 28 in 2005, before declining to about 7 in 2020, which was even overnumbered by the figure for table tennis in 2010.
