Diary 1
It is not simple to bring up a child from when he was born to the time when he starts to enter adult life. I still remember in details a sense of happiness when my baby came to this world. He who was only over 20 days old spent a difficult long journey to go to our hometown because of the breakdown of train capacity. He waited for hours at Bien Hoa train station that made me get my cold feet… At the first time he was sick, I actually did not know what I should do because I have not experienced before yet, however I gradually assimilated knowledge and beneficial skills for child-minding. Collected knowledge seems to help me find more confident when my son had illnesses again.
As my mother returned the hometown, I felt difficult even stressful and irritable because there were so many tasks that I had to do from work to household assignments. I always get up early to practice English, wash dishes, and prepare clothes, orange juice and milk for my son going to school. I am up to the ears with a lot of assignments at the office, and then go to market and prepare dinner for my family. After my son goes to bed, I often set aside time to mediate something happened in the day. Sometimes, I am truly tired with a lot of troubles I have to face every day. These are dysfunctional moments between my hubby and me about our residential apartment, unfriendly colleagues and the ways to enhance my livelihood. However I believe that it is better if I can keep a positive attitude because it is true that the life is not simple and I have to ease fundamental issues, keep calm and find solutions. Luckily, I have my son besides. While I am riding a motorbike to go home with unpleasant feeling, I have a sense of more satisfaction when I image his face and languages like “please open a car program for me, mommy”.
Having a child makes me have a good grasp of expectation of my parents. I hope I will be a good mother to make a valuable contribution to shape my son’s good personality.
