You are going to spend your vacation in a city in a foreign country. You have never been there before. Your cousin has a friend who lives there. Write a letter to this friend in your letter
In your letter
• Introduce Yourself
• Say why you are making this trip
• Ask some questions about the city (e.g. places to see, things to do, things to bring)
Dear Paul,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirit. I am a maternal cousin of your friend, Barbara from India. I am writing this letter to ask for some information about your current city. She mentioned me that you have been residing in Venice for 15 years. As I have never been to Italy before, Barbara had suggested me to take some advice from you.
I had planned a family trip to Venice in the starting of next month because we shall have a long weekend during that time-period.
We are coming for five days. I need some information on main tourist attractions of the city. My parents like gardens and shopping, it would be very much appreciative, if you could tell me the best places in this context. Moreover, it would be great, if you could also suggest about some areas to explore in our leisure times. I am not much aware of the weather conditions there, it would be excellent if you could also suggest the type of clothes that we should bring or any other thing that should be carried along with the luggage.
I will be grateful if you could spare some time to guide me on this trip.
I look forward to your response.
Yours Sincerely,
Harman
