In this set of amterials the reading passages discusses that some possile expelanation for a mass extention that occured at the end of the Triassic period. While the professor cast doubts on what is peresented in the text and believes that Non of these theoris that mentioned in the passages if not enough strong and true to demonstared this mass extention.
First of all, in the text it is clearlt mentioned that the flactuation in the sea levels is the reason of this extention and expelain that the fall in the sea levels led to killing the land species. However, the professor claims that t this time the sea levels had not very strong flactuation and i was take place for some milion years.
In addition, the professor disagrees with this idea that this mass extention is related to climte cooling. She says that it is true that the rise in atmospheric SO2 can have cooling effect in weather. But this affect is not long enough to can resulted a mass extention. Because this gas absorbe through solving in the water and it is led to cleaning the air.
Finally, in tyhe text it is stated that an astteroids impact led to production of debris and blocking the sunlight and kill of plants and animals. the professor subscribes that the scientist do not fined any asteroeid impact at this time that can provide this happen. and the evidence shows that the asteroid impact dated to twonty milion years before this mass extention.
