The bar chart illustrates the number of books which read by woman and man at Burnaby Public Library between 2001 and 2014.
Overall, it is obvious that there was a different trend between woman and men in reading such books. In the beginning, women dominated man by the highest number of books they have read. Over the next 4 years, while the number of books read by men saw an upward trend, there is a downward trend came from women.
It can be seen that the figures of women's book stood at under 6000 in 2011, then increased slightly to nearly 8000 in 2012. The number witnessed a significant rise to exactly 10000 before dropped dramatically to under 8000.
Looking at the details, men began with nearly 4000, then there was a sharp increase to 100000 in 2013. Surprisingly, the number of men's book reached a peak of 14000 at the end of the period.
