The bar chart illustrates, the national expenditure of fast food for three different groups in a week by the year of 1990 in UK. While, line graph illustrates, consumption of these items from 1970 to 1990. Units are measured in pence per person and in grams.
Overall, the amount of money spent for Hamburger was the top level in high and average income groups. Whereas, pizza was the least fast food consumed by average and lower income groups. Furthermore, pizza was most significant item in UK over the period given.
The number of people spent money for Hamburger was 45 pence per person in high income groups, while low income groups consumed mere 14 pence. Fish and chips makes up average groups up to 25 pence which is exceeded than high and low groups with just over 15 pence. In addition, the data of average groups expense for hamburger was over 30 pence.
With regards to the pizza less than 20 pence spent for all category instead of that high income was highest with 18 pence over the given period.
As is observed in line graph, consumption of pizza was the peak level with 300 grams in 1970, then there was gradual decrease in over 15 years and stay almost stable with 200 grams by 1990. The account for fish, chips and hamburger remained steadily in first five years with lower than 100 grams. There were a rapid increase in fish and chips reached 500 grams after 20 years which is 200 grams higher than the amount of hamburger which is 300 grams in 1990 after a dramatic growth from 1985 with 100 grams.
