The reading and the lecture are both about making a team when dealing about a project. The author of the reading believes having a group in doing project has more benefits. The lecture casts doubt the point that the reading made. He thinks that the team for a project has not any positive effect.
First of all, the reading thinks that a group can have wider range of knowledge, and skills by having diverse people. Reading expects that the group of team can work quickly and have highly creative solution when they have problems. The lecture opposes the points that the reading made. The group with large member is hard to make agreement at the same time.
Secondly, the author points out that they can make the decision even though they are able to have risks because they feel better when they are group;but, the lecturer says that even though some of the people in the group mainly affect when they are making decision, all of the member in the group need to be responsible if the result goes wrong.
Finally, the reading believes that having a group is rewarding for member of team. If they work well in one group, they can have a chance to shine. However, the lecturer says that if some of the members work hard, that can let the other members to have a ride by having the people who can work instead of them.
