Demand for electricity in England during winter & summer
The line graph illustrates, electricity needs in different hours a day at the time of winter and summer in England. While, pie chart demonstrates, the average electricity usage in a home for four various purposes.
Overall, it is clear from the graph that, demand of electric power was highest during winter especially in mid night. Although, there were slight fluctuations through out the days. Whereas, the largest amount of current used for heating room and water.
As is observed in the line graph, overwhelming majority of electricity used for at the period of winter. Such as, in the early hours of winter, approximately, 35,000 units of electricity consumed in London citizens. While, for the next 3 hours usage increased to 40000 units and dipped into 30000 for the following hours. Then there was a significant surge in the electricity demand for the consecutive hours and reached at the peak with about 50000 units in early midnight at 22 hours. However, again consumption of electricity plummet to near 35,000 in 1 'o'clock. Similarly, in summer, mere less than 20000 unit of electricity were used in most of the hours. Although, there were fluctuation in demand, the biggest consuming hour was in the after noon and mid night with 20000 units.
However, regarding heating of room and water was the noticeable usage of electric power in average England home which is about 52%. At once, lighting, TV, Radio and other electric machines namely, vaccum cleaners, food mixers, and electric tools consists of around 15% of total energy respectively. Whilst, 18% of electricity accounted for the use of oven, kettles, and washing machines.
