The line graph illustrates, the percentage of age 65 and above population in Japan, Swedan and USA from 1940 to 2040. Units are measured in percentage.

Overall, all the given countries population rate was increasing by years. The most significant growth of elderly was in Japan after 2020 from the least level. USA replace the top position and holds low level by the end of the period.

In 1940, USA was the highest level in geriatric people with approximately nine percent. The figure went slightly up after 2o years and reached to ten percent. After the two decade the percentage of population climbed up dramatically to 15 %. Then, the graph remained relatively stable up to 2020 and surged to just below 25 % by 2040. In comparison, USA was the lowest level of aged population among other countries by 2040.

Regarding elderly people rate in Swedan and Japan was approximately 7% and 5% respectively in 1940. Then Swedan rate was gradually increased to about 14 % after a four decades. In 1990, Swedan exceeding USA and rapidly climbed to 20%. Then there was a little decline to almost 17% before touched to over 25% by 2040. Furthermore, Japan was the only country that decreasing the population rate in first four decades and reach beginning rate after 2020. While, after that which went suddenly upward and remain at the peak level with nearly 28%.
