The reading and the lecture are both about pterosaurs which is ancient group of winged reptiles that lived along side the dinosaurs. The author of the reading believe that pterosaurs are not warm- blooded. thus, they are not able to fly and walk fast. The lecturar cast doubt on the claims made in the article. He says that pterosaurs can fly and walk fast due to their warm blooded body.
first of all, the author points out that due to cold- blooded body of pterasous they can not fly because their powered flight required for extensive amount of energy which they can not produce. The point is challenged by the lecturer. He says recent studies have been show that petrosaurs bodies are covered with fur which help them to maintain their body warm and lead them to produce huge amount of energy for flying.
secondly, the author believe that due to heavy weight the pterosaurs are no able to take off from the land. the speaker rebuts this arguments. She suggest ancient reptiles such as pterosaurs have unique anatomical structures like hollow bones which help them to control their body weight and they can fly steadily.
finally, the author states that because of weak muscles in their legs such reptiles can not run fast. The lecture, on the other hand, posit that the pterpsurs use all their four limbs for walking fast
to sum up, the lecture and reading are about ancient reptiles. The professor effectively challenge the claim made in the article.
