The given line chart illustrates how the amounts of goods transported which are road, water, rail, pipeline varied in the UK from 1974 and 2002.
to begin with, it is clearly seen that the most popular transport in UK was road according to the chart. It has been growing gradually until 1994 and there was a steep increase in 1998. In addition, the second highest figure of transport was water. At the beginning in 1974, it was lower than rail, however it had expanded by approximately 58 dramatically between period 1979 and 1982. Eventually, it accounted for the second highest rank in the end of chart. The number of rail had been following the next, and it had taken at around 40 in 2002. Besides, the lowest figure was pipeline. The figure of pipeline in 1974 was almost 2, and it had been growing slightly until 2002.
In conclusion, the road was the most popular goods transported in UK, and the water, rail, pipeline had been following respectively.
