The diagram below shows changes to one university campus.
The given maps illustrate the transformations which one university campus experienced over a period of 33 years from 1985 to the present time (2018).
Overall, the university campus has gone through significant alternation
In 1985, the university grounds had various sites. To the northwest, was a library. Car park, physics and biology blocks were situated in the north east, and to the south east was an admin building. Also, another car park was located in south west.
Remarkable changes has accrued today. Firstly, a number of buildings are repurposed. While the south-western car park has become a bust terminal, albeit in smaller size, the other car park has been replaced with a circular-shaped lecture theatre. Moreover, the library has enlarged to the south, converting to a library and IT center. Secondly, some sites are completely demolished. As illustrated, physics and chemistry blocks have been overhauled in order to make room for a spacious science laboratory and the biology block has been demolished as well. Lastly, instead of the road, now different areas are connected to each other through newly added footpaths which have resulted in reducing the size of some building, such as the admin building.
