The given table illustrates the statistics about the underground rail transportation services in London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles. The route is measured in kilometers while the data about passengers is calibrated in millions.
Overall, London has the oldest underground railway system as it is opposed by Los Angeles being the recent. The track for the trains in London covers the largest distance compared to other cities. Significant number of passengers traveled by metros in Tokyo per year. Kyoto trains carried a meagre amount of people and also had the shortest route in comparison to the other five cities.
In terms of route, track laid by London railway systems covered relentlessly largest distance (394) while, Kyoto train tracks only had a route of 11km. Lanes in Paris were almost half the route of those in London which is 199 km. Whilst the metro tracks in Tokyo and Washington DC covered a distance of 155 and 126 respectively, rails in Los Angeles only had a route of significantly less distance (28 km).
On the other hand, Tokyo trains carried 1927 passengers compared to minute numbers of 45 and 50 in Kyoto and Los Angeles respectively. While metros in Washington DC had 144 passengers who traveled per year, those in London carried almost five times more people that is 775.
