The bar chart illustrates the percentage of men and women in six different age groups who were engaged in regular physical activity in Australia in 2010.

Overall, proportion of both men and women varied among different age groups starting from 15 years to 65 years and above, who did physical activity regularly. Higher proportion of women performed physical activity on regular basis compared to men except in age group 15 to 24 years. Almost equal number of both these groups who were 65 years and above did exercise daily.

More specifically, males in the age group of 15 to 24 years were more involved in regular exercise that is 52.8% compared to females (47.7%). On the contrary, women between 25 to 34 years and 55 to 64 years were ahead of men with a difference of 7-8% who did physical activity daily. While in the age group of 35 to 44 years and 45 to 54 years this difference got slightly raised to 10-13%, with 52.5% and 53.3% of women and 39.5% and 43.1% of men respectively, who did regular workouts. Approximately 47% of both men and women who were 65 years and above reported of doing daily exercise.
