The bar chart shows the top 10 countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.
The bar chart above illustrates how much electricity (in billion kwh) is produced and utilized by ten developed countries in 2014.
Overall, we can see that china and the usa both generated and consumed the most amount of electricity, whereas the production and usage of electricity were the lowest in korea. Except for germany, all nine countries made more electricity than they used.
In 2014, china produced 5398 billion kwh electricity and utilized 5322 billion kwh, followed by the usa, which made and used 4099 and 3866 billion kwh, accordingly. These two countries ranked the first and the second in both electricity production and consumption. korea generated 485.1 billion kwh and used 449.5 billion kwh electricity, which made it the last country in the chart.
Another thing that can be noticed is that the production of electricity outweighs the consumption of electricity in 9 countries. Meanwhile, germany had opposite trends. In 2014, germany utilized more electricity (582.5 billion kwh) than it generated (526.6 billion kwh).
