Write a letter to your friend. In your letter congratulate him/her on their win
Give practical advice on how to spend the money
advise him/her on benefits/drawbacks associated with large wins
Dear Danny,
Hope you are in the pink of your health. Its been so long since we last met. it was glad to hear that you won such a good-sized prize money and you must be on cloud nine after winning such a huge prize money. Heartiest congratulations to you on such a brilliant success. I think this money has come to you on a perfect time as you were planning to go for higher studies from a reputed college, but could not go due to financial constraints. Now, with this money you can plan to continue your studies and can grow professionally and personally as well.
As a good friend, I would also like to suggest you invest some amount with a bank with high percentage returns which can be saved for the future. It is not at all safe to keep such a big amount of money with you. Having money is good and using it efficiently is equally important so do not get carried away with it. It can be used for the betterment of you and your family.
I hope you will consider my suggestions in a good way.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Cheers
Nikita
