you recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. you think he/she should get a job.
write a letter to this friend. In your letter
say why he/she would not enjoy going to college
explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her
suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her
Dear John,
Hope you're doing fine, I received your letter asking me if you should go to college or get a job. Well, I am writing to inform you that i think you should get a job instead.
It is good to go to college and graduate with a certificate. However, graduation after college doesn't guaranty that you will get a job. To get jobs these days is very competitive, why waste four or three years of your life attending college classes that are strenuous and boring, when you can use these years to search for a job. Furthermore, going to college is expensive as one will have to pay tuition fee and other charges.
getting a job is the deal my friend. you will be receiving salary to take care of your personal needs; liking paying your house rent, utility bills, gas bills and other expenses. In addition to this, you can amass an enormous amount of experience which would be beneficial to you in the future.
With your computer knowledge, jobs like computer operator, office administrative officer and even typist would be a great.
Best Regards
Sophie
