Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they contradict specific points made in the reading passage.
Both the reading and the listening discuss the Pluto as a planet. The article states that there are some definition that a planet should fit on. However, the lecture contradicts specific points made in the reading passage. The professor says that there is another view of Pluto and what members of International Space Station (ISS) who voted controversial was wrong.
The first point the professor makes is that scientists say that Pluto is indeed a planet. He elaborates that Pluto has moons and orbits around the sun. This point contradicts the point made in the reading. The latter states that Pluto meets only two criteria therefore it cannot be considered a planet.
Furthermore, the professor points out that as a definition, Pluto needs to be included as a planet because any large body is included as such then Pluto qualifies to do so. This contradicts the information from the reading. According to the passage Pluto does not enter in the definition.
Finally, the lecture states that calling Pluto as a dwarf planet is confusing. As the speaker has it, for eighty years, saying Pluto is not a planet still confuses students. This point contradicts the redings' key point. According to the article Pluto is a dwarf planet but not a real one.
