The map below is of the town of Garlsdon. A new supermarket (S) is planned for the town. The map shows two possible sites for the supermarket
The map indicates two proposed sites for the supermarket to be built in garlsdon whose population reaches 65000.
Overall, the supermarket is planned to be build in town centre and countryside.
The first plan is in the town centre which is S2. Locating in S2 is very strategic since it will be in the middle of people's area. It will be surrounded by houses, making it convenient for the dwellers to do shopping .The location is just 16kms from bransdon having 15000 citizens and 12 kms from hindon with 10000 populations .But it is placed 25 kms from Cransdon that has the biggest population, 29000 citizens.Furthermore , the central area is a no--traffic zone , cars would be unable park and access would be difficult.
The second plan is to put up the supermarket in the suburb. Both the railway and mainroads are ready . In addition , it is very near hindon , a northwestern city 12 kms to the town centre.Nevertheless , the distance between thit site and brandson is relatively long .But the supermarket is near the railway so it is possible for the travellers to buy some food and goods here if there is a train station near .
