You recently read an article in a newspaper about your childhood friend with whom you have lost contact for a long time. Write a letter to the editor. In your letter:
• Say which edition and when did the article appear
• Explain why you lost contact with your friend
• Say how you want them to help you to get back in touch
Dear Sir,
I am big of your monthly magazine "India Today". I always get lots of information from the "Future Science" chapter of your magazine. Recently, in the last month edition I read an article on "Comet Collision" written by P. Sagar. Irony is that he happened to be my one of my best friends in our school days.
After schooling he went to USA for his higher study in 2001. Since then, we had hardly any contact. However, in Christmas he always used to send gift from USA till 2010. But after getting job in NASA, he never contacted me, might be due to busy office life.
I felt ecstatic after reading that article and I believe that only Sagar can do such remarkable study. I have one request to you to send a postcard to him on behalf of me and mention "OLA" at end of the postcard. He will immediately recognize the sender and I hope he will contact me soon.
Thanks in anticipation.
Your faithfully,
Bibhu Kalita
