The line graph illustrates changes in the amount of birth rates in two countries are China and the USA over a period of 80 years. Overall, the graph reveals some striking similarities between two countries and it is clear that both nations saw considerable fluctuations in fertility, with the rate reached a peak during the 1950s and gradually decreased during the 2000s.
To begin, in 1920, the number of birth rates of China stood at 10 percent and increased to 15 percent in 1935. 1935 to 1940 saw a sudden drop at 5 percent at the end of this period. Beside the USA birth rates approximately fluctuated at somewhere between 11 and 13 percent of 1920s and 1940s, before plunged to less than 5 percent in 1945. Then over the following five years, there was a significant growth to 15 percent per year, followed by a steady fall during the 2000s.
