In 1998, the proportion of users accessing to the Internet from the home was highest, at more than 50%. In contrast, the rate for those who used from library was at the lowest point of exactly 10%. The figure for those connecting from college and work was 20% and nearly 30% respectively.
The percentage of Internet users gaining access from home rose approximately to 55% in 2004, after a decline about 8% in 2000. On the other hand, the figure for users from their work decreased nearly 20% to just about 10% in 2004 while it’s just about 2% decline for internet users from college during that period. Users accessing the Internet at the library increased about 5% from 1998 to 2000, and then dipped slightly in 2002, where it remained steady throughout 2004.
