The pictogram describes the life cycle of a large fish species called salmon. It is clearly seen from the chart that a salmon's life cycle involves three different stages.
In the first stages, when the salmon fish reach their reproduction age they swim to upper river to lay eggs. There apparently water is slow moving that reduces the chances of losing eggs in the water movement. Reeds and small stones in the upper river further create a natural safe barrier for these eggs. After 5-6 months, small salmon called 'fry' comes out of these eggs and they normally size 5-6 centimeters.
In the second stage, theses fry's swim to lower part of the river where they get fast moving water. These fry's live there for approximately 4 years. Once these salmons have grown up to 12-15 centers long, they start their journey to open sea. These grown up salmon is often called 'smolts'. After living the more wider open sea for almost half a decade, they reach their adult stage over this period of time. Then they swim to their natural habitat where it all began to lay eggs, the cycle starts over again.
In conclusion, it is clear from the data that, salmon's regeneration cycle is long and it almost takes a decade to reproduce its next generation fully grown adult salmons.

The diagram illustrates the processes in which salmon eggs evolves to become adults salmon fish. The transformation is in three stages and happens in the aquatic region.
Overall, the salmon life cycle involves three steps which are the formation of a fry followed by molt and finally, a mature salmon fish.
The first level of salmon fish species is the production of salmon eggs, this occurs in the upper river which is characterized by slow movement of the water surrounded by reeds plants, its roots constitutes of small stones that enhances a favourable environment for salmon eggs which hatches into a fry, this takes place approximately 5 to 6 months. Furthermore, this fry which measures about 3 to 8cm flows into the lower river that is fast flowing, this surrounding aids it's development into a smolt which is larger in size (12 to 15 cm) and completes in 4 years.
Lastly, formation of adult salmon takes up to 5 years in the open sea dramatically enlarges (70 to 76 cm), tripling it's previous size. These big salmons finally swims back to it's slow moving upper river to deposit their eggs in order to commence another cycle.
