Some people thinks that accepting bad situations is the best way, while others have opinion that trying and improving bad situations are better. I partly agree with both opinions, since each view has its own great sides.
When facing bad situations such as getting an uncomfortable job and lacking of money, we have to accept it. This means that we should think positively about those situations. Consider an example, we are not accepted in a company that is in our dream list, like the big 4 consulting companies. Instead, we only get accepted in an "unpopular consulting firm". It then makes us feel dissatisfied with our job. But, actually the wage is greater than the wage in those popular companies. So, we should think about this positive side and forget about the negatives side. This will make us feel happier and grateful than before. And also, we have to consider other positive things that may not appeared in our thoughts before, like the working situation. If we were accepted in those favourite job places, we would not be able to enjoy our life. This means that in every condition that we think as a bad situation, there are still positive things for us. And we have to remember that God works in every situation in our life, so there will not be any situation that actually bad for us.
But, accepting and thinking positively are not enough for us. Because, by only accepting and not introspecting ourselves, we would not try to increase our abilities. For the example, we finally can accept the condition where we are unable to work in those big 4 consulting firms. We then keep relaxed and don't struggle for anything because we think we can't. That will make us not trying to improve anything from ourselves, including learning new skills that are searched by those companies' recruiters. And finally, our career won't shift to a better career, because we only get stuck in the same job.
So, in conclusion, although people may have different opinions, I concur that I only partly agree to both opinions. Because, each of those perspectives has the good thing that can be learnt to establish a better us.
