Overall, rain water collected from households undergoes the process of filtration and chemical treatment before it is made fit to drink.
Initially, water from rain is collected by the slanting roof of each house and is diverted through draining pipes toward the water filter. After which, the filtration unit helps in removing any impurities from the collected water. This filtered water is then carried to storage tank by pipelines.
After this point, the water in storage is passed to another tank, where water treatment with chemicals take place. This final process renders the water fit for drinking. When the water becomes portable, it is finally pumped to all houses through a separate pipeline for daily consumption in the same town.
