The pie charts illustrate the amount of water consumption for three fields, namely industrial, agricultural and domestic in six separate countries over the world.
As can be inferred from the graph, agricultural purposes register the highest water consumption in almost all countries exclude North America and Europe. By contrast, the most significant amount of water used in Central Asia is recorded for agricultural activities.
Looking at the pie charts, agricultural group makes up about 88% of water usage in Central Asia while this number is only 39% and 32% in North America and Europe respectively. Meanwhile, the proportion of water consumed for households in both North America and Europe rather than Central Asia approximately 8% and the corresponding trend for industrial use.
In particular, the figure for agricultural use of water in Africa mirror South East Asia at around 81% and it is 10% higher than South America. In addition, there is a huge amount of water used in households in South America at 19% whilst this number is only 9% in Africa and 7% in South East Asia.
