The pie charts depict the changes in yearly expenditure by an institution in the United Kingdom in 1981, 1999 and 2001.
Overall, teachers' salaries experienced just a little change within the 3-year period and it had the highest percentage of all. The least recorded percentages were for insurance in all the years.
In 1981, about 40% of the total expenditure was for teachers' salaries, there was a 10% increase on it in 1991, while in 2001, it has just a 5% increase. Other workers' salaries on the other hand had a percentage of 28% in its starting year, this reduced to 15% in the last year. In addition, resources and books account for 15% of the total spending in 1981 and just 9% in 2001.
Furthermore, insurance which was the least category being spent on, had its percentage increase from the starting year to the last year with a difference of about 6% from 1981 to 2001. However, furniture and equipment had its highest proportion in 2001 (23%) and its lowest (5%) in 1991.
