The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
The line graph compares the amount of enquiries that the Tourist Information Office received in the timescale of six months from January to June in 2011.
Overall, while emails witnessed a downward trend, enquiries in person and telephones had an upward trend over the period surveyed.
Look at the information in more detail, we can see that communication in person hold the bottom position in January with 400 enquiries, which was 500 enquiries lower than that of by letter and email. Nevertheless, in March, enquiries in person had a dramatic climb, from 800 in March to 1900 at the end of surveyed time. Telephone took the lead in January with 900 enquiries, then increased slightly to 1000 enquiries in April and peak at 1600 enquiries in June.
The striking feature was enquiries by letter and email. Although this trend was the runner-up at the beginning of the period, it experienced a considerable plummet to less than 400 enquiries in May and then reached its bottom at 390 at the end of surveyed period.
