Leisure activities of europian adults
The given pie charts reveal information about several hobbies that usually have by a grown-up European
in 1985 and 1995. Overall, in both years, watching television became the most popular leisure activity
that mature people do in Europe.
In 1985, as many as 23% of European adults are prefer to going outside and having a meal in their free
time. Beside that, around one quarter of them like to have a chit chat with their friends and for 18% of
the oldest population enjoy talking with their families. Along with it, only 6% of them are having others
hobbies.
After a decade, there are significant changes about popular leisure activities that European adults like to
do. Even though 30% of them still thinking that watching TV is the most favorite leisure activities, there
are a new hobby that significantly became popular, playing computer games. In this year, more than one
quarter of the European adults like to do this activity. All tough talking with friends still in being the third
most enjoyed activity, but the habit to talk to families in free time decreasing to 7%. In 1995’s another
declining trend comes to the hobby of eating outside to 8% and only 2% like doing other hobbies.
To conclude, even though watching TV become the most enjoyable hobbies in those years, in 1995 there
are a new leisure activities that dramatically appear as their hobby compared to 1985’s.
