This bar chart illustrates the statistic of children from both gender aged from 5 to 14 years old participating in extracurricular activities in Australia in 2003.
Taking everything into consideration, the girls was in favor of cultural activities more than the boys. On the contrary, learning how to play musical instrument and playing sport were popular amongst the opposite gender.
More than half of the cultural activities were partook predominantly by schoolgirls. The percentages of both gender remain unchanged in drama and singing, the girls were roughly 1 percent higher than the boys. On the other hand, the boys’ percentage in playing musical instrument is greater than the other sex by 1/20 times.
It is apparent from the bar chart that sport was by far schoolboy’s most preferred activity since younger boys tend to be more hyperactive. Thus the percentage of the girls was under approx. 15 percent compare to the opposite sex.
