A local college is having an international day. You want to speak about your country to students from different cultures.
Write a letter to the college head. In your letter:
• Tell him/her about the topics that you are going to talk about
• Explain why would they be of interest to the students
• Ask about any arrangements that you need to make to give the talk
Dear Mr.
My name is John Paul and I am studying Art and Culture Program in the college. I am writing this letter to express my desire to deliver a speech on the coming international culture day. I would like to elaborate about culture of my country, for which I would request you to guide me if arrangements would be required.
I am interested in talking about culture and tradition of my country as I consider that it would be the most appropriate topic to represent my culture and values on that day. It will be an honor for me to highlight how peaceful my country is and how much rich culture does it has.
Although it might be a controversial topic of talk for many people, I feel that in order to remove the alleged stain of terrorism from the face of my country, it will be the most suitable topic to be elaborated to the students. As many of them are not aware about the real situation, it would trigger their interest to know how peaceful my country and people are.
If you allow me, I will arrange everything like multimedia where I could display some images and play a video which I have made particularly for the event. I would be happier to organize if any other thing would be needed for the speech. It would be so kind of you if you could permit to fulfill my responsibility as a patriotic citizen.
I look forward to having your response in this matter.
Yours faithfully,
John Paul.
