The tables show the amount of sales of bananas and coffee in five European countries in 1999 and 2004. As seen from the table for coffee, it is evident that 2004 has seen a significantly larger sales than that of 1999, namely 3 times.
In the data for sales of coffee in 1999, the greatest sales took place in Switzerland, 3 millions of euros, immediately after which stands Denmark, with 1.8 million euros of sales. Then there are UK, Belgium and Sweden, in descending order in terms of sales.
For coffee sales in 2004, UK had an enormous increase in coffee sales, from 1.5 million in 1999 to 20 million. Other countries also had increase in sales, but not much compared to UK. Switzerland doubled its’ sales, whereas the other two had a little increase compared to that.
From the chart for banana sales, we see that in 1999 the biggest sale was in Switzerland, 15 million euros. The other countries had little sales in comparison to Switzerland. In 2004 sales in Switzerland increased by more than 3 times that of 1999, to 47 million euros. Among other countries UK had a significant increase in banana sales, with more than 5 times that of 1999. Belgium also had a good increase in sales. But the other two countries had a decrease in sales.
