The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.
The bar chart illustrates ten countries which have produced and consumed the most electricity compare to the others. Also, this information has been gathered in the year 2014.
Looking at the ranking, China and the United States are producing and consuming the most electricity compare to the other eight countries. However, there is not a significant difference gap between countries below rank three. Finally, the country with the least amount of production and consumption is the Korea Republic.
Starting with the numbers of electricity production, China is generating the most amount of electricity, which is almost 5400 kWh. Moving on to the second producer, the United States is making slightly above 4000 kWh. Then, we have Russia in third place with the production of 1057 kWh. Lastly, all countries below rank four are making less than 1000 kWh.
Moreover, it can be seen that the consumption of electricity is almost following a similar trend to production. However, Germany is using more electricity than Canada. Thus, if this ranking were only based on consuming electricity, Germany would have been in sixth place. Looking at the numbers, China has almost the same number as production, and the United States is using 200 kWh less than it is production.
