The graph below shows the average growth in domestic products in wealthy countries, countries that have adopted a global approach to business and countries that have not.
The graph illustrates the growth of local products on average in prosperous countries. The data projected on this bar chart indicates countries that implemented globalization methods for business, and also the countries which have chosen other paths.
Generally, the percentage of Gross Domestic Product is decaying gradually over these 40 years. However, globalization is following the opposite trend and is becoming more and more common in these countries. Furthermore, the percentage of other countries which are pursuing other strategies is not following a specific trend.
Back in the 60s and 70s, most countries were not familiar with globalization plans. As a result, most countries were following other methods back then. Countries that supported globalization were approximately at 1.5 percent in the 60s and slightly less than 3 percent in the 70s. On the other hand, non-globalizers were nearly at 2.4 percent and above 3 percent in the 60s and 70s respectively. The percentage of rich countries dropped significantly from 4.6 percent to near 3 percent.
In recent decades, non-globalization methods gave their position to globalization approaches which faced an incredible increase from around 3 percent in the 80s to nearly 5 percent in the 90s. But, in the 80s, the other plans dwindled to 0.9 percent then gained 0.5 percent afterward and finished up at 1.4 percent in the 90s. Also, the average GDP of the affluent countries didn't vary noticeably in the last two decades.
