A common friend is going to the country your friend stays in. Write a letter to that friend to inform him/her about that.
Dear Esther,
Hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to keep you informed about our mutual friend Linda who has plans to visit UK in the upcoming month.
I would like to remind you about Linda, who was our team mate during the internship phase in Canada. We had received help to a great extent from her especially when we had trouble in travel from one place to another. Furthermore, she was like a family to us.
To my surprise, last week I received a call from Linda where she disclosed about her visit to UK for a business meet which is held on 15th November, 2019.Unfortunately, the return flight to Canada is on 20th November. I was wondering if you can take her to a tour around UK as she is unfamiliar with the place. Also, both of you can have a good time together.
Let me know if the above plan works for you. I have sent her contact details via Facebook in order to get in touch with each other. Please write back to me regarding your thoughts on this by next week.
Best regards,
Haritha
