These pie charts illustrate the average proportions of sodium, saturated fats and added sugars in breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in the United States of America. Three types of nutrients may be unhealthy if people eat enormously.
To begin with, it is clear that dinner contains most of the sodium and saturated fat at the rate of 43% and 37%, respectively. On the other hand, dinner accounts for 23% added sugar, which is the second-highest percentage/which is relatively small compared with snacks. In addition to this, sodium and saturated fat consumed for/at lunch contribute the second-largest amount at 29% and at 26%, respectively. On the contrary, lunch contains only 19% of added sugar.
Talking about snacks, they have the most enormous amount of added sugar, reaching 42%. However, 21% of saturated fat, followed by sodium at 14%, is consumed at snacks. Finally, breakfast contributes to the lowest rate of sodium, saturated fat and added sugar. The percentage of saturated fat and added sugar at breakfast is the same, showing 16%, followed by sodium at 14%.
