The process of electricity generation using an artificial lagoon and tidal power
The diagrams represent how the electricity is generated in an artificial lagoon with tidal power.
Overall, the process includes diverse steps and could be divided into a two stages in general. Due to the fact, that the size of tide changed twice per day, nearly every 12 hours. Evidently, each production of electricity is a five step process.
When the high tide comes in the estuary, sea water flows are directed primarily to an artificial generator, where the inflow gate is opened, which allow aqua flows into a lagoon. When the tide is the highest, the lagoon is full of water. In addition, turbine with an outflow gate are closed, in case of preventing the escape of water.
In contrast, after a twelve hours the opposite process in the electricity production is starting to run with a lower tide. The estuary then is lower and more extended, as the sea water flows are have not the same route, they contrary directed and going from the artificial lagoon. Over this period, the inflow gateway is closed, so the water mark is lower; meanwhile the outflow gate is now opened and attached turbine allows the water escape from the lagoon.
