The provided chart illustrates the water consumption in six different continents of the world, mainly for Industrial use, agricultural use and domestic use. The units are measured in percentage. Overall, the significant amount of water is consumed for agricultural purposes among the most regions surveyed. Whereas the percentage of water used for domestic purpose is minimal in all the regions, as per the chart.
The overall use of water shows contrary pattern between north and south America; whereas is it quite similar between north America and Europe continents. The African and Asian continents use the major part of water for agricultural fields. As depicted in the chart, more than 80% of water is used by agricultural industries in Africa, central and south east Asia; and the figure for the same is 71% in south America. Over one-third of water consumption in north America and Europe is observed to be for farming.

Europe and north America has almost half of the total water consumption for industrial purpose, 48% and 53% respectively. It is worth noticing that, the water consumption for household purpose is quite low in all the continents, except in south America where it is over 19% which higher than any other region. In Asian and African parts of the world, only 7 to 9 percent of water is for people's personal use.
