The provided graph demonstrates the intake of fish and other kind of meat in a European country over the period of 1979 to 2004. Overall, there is noticeable decrease in consumption of several kinds of meat per person per week, whereas intake of chicken shows gradual increase. The unit is measured in grams per person per week.
As per the provided figures, the fish was the least consumed over the quarter of the century among the other meat variety. Fish started at 60 grams per person per week in 1979 and slowly decreased to less than 50 grams by 2004. Lamb and beef showed similar pattern of consumption which was about 150 grams and 210 grams in 1979 respectively and gradually decreased to 70 grams and 120 grams per week per person in 2004 respectively. Though, in 1979 beef was most consumed meat in 1979 and showed a fluctuation, ending up by decline in 2004.
On the other hand, chicken has shown significant hike. The intake was 140 grams per person per week in 1979 which swelled to about 240 grams per person in 2004. Over the observed period, it showed hike of 100 grams.
