You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In your letter:
• describe the situation
• explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
• say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Dear Sir,
I am writing this to inform you about the problems which I am facing because of my roommate.
I am a final year student of Master of Computer Application whereas my roommate is fresher and we are living in double seater, Rani Laxmi Bai Girls hostel in 252 room number. She is not at all serious about her studies and responsibilities. I talked to her very calmly and tried to make her understood but all was in vain. I am unable to concentrate on my study which is impacting my performance.
Firstly, she creates a lot of mess in the room by throwing rappers here and there. She never cleans the room and when I ask her to clean, she starts giving lame excuses. This is not enough, she fond of music and hence plays loud music at night and sometimes plays guitar also. All these activities disturb my sleep and study. She even borrows my things without asking me which is a quite annoying and unacceptable act.
I would like to request for a single-seater room for me either inside the college or outside college but nearby. I cannot compromise with my studies and the future and need to concentrate more on studies as I have a very important examination next month.
I will be very thankful to you if consider this matter seriously and waiting for your response.
Yours Faithfully,
Jot
