You successfully passed a job interview. You are expected to start on November 15, but you will not be available on that date. Task: Write a letter to your new boss, explaining your situation, expressing your concern and suggesting a solution.
Dear Sir,
I would like to thank you for the opportunity you gave me by selecting in the interview. I am writing this to inform you that I would not be able to join the job on November 15.
I would be available on the date of joining because my grandmother has recently admitted to the hospital. To describe, yesterday she met with an accident and got injured in her spine and she is in serious condition.
My parents are living in the USA and they cannot come to Canada because they are quite busy. I and grandmother are living together. She is really important to me. I cannot join until she will be relieved from the hospital.
I really understand that work is important, in that concern I would like to suggest if the company can wait for me please hold the position but if it is a costing company that please search a reliable candidate.
I passionately look forward to working with you after this situation.
Yours Faithfully,
