The graphs above give information about computer ownership as a percentage of the population between 2002 and 2010, and by level of education for the years 2002 and 2010.
The given bar graphs compare the proportional change that happened over a period of eight years from 2002 to 2010 in the context of computer owners surveyed with regard to population and educational level.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the demand for computers witnessed an increasing pattern over time. Although computer earned immense popularity among all the people with different educational backgrounds, bachelor's and post-graduates remained at the leading list.
According to the given illustration, over half of the population owned a computer in 2002. Thereafter, the number of people who had a computer in their homes observed a significant rising pattern. Every three out of five people possessed a computer in 2004, followed by a 5% increase in the next two years. Furthermore, by the end of the period, more than three-quarters of the population purchased a computer.
With regard to qualification, almost each post-graduate and 9 in every 10 graduates held a computer in 2010, which was higher by nearly 20% as compared to the earlier year. In addition, proportion of school droppers, high school graduates, and college students with incomplete degrees climbed to 40%, 70%, and 80% respectively, compared to just 15%, 30%, and 50% as is given in 2002.
